From the intersection of S. Kipling Pkwy and W. Chatfield Ave., head east on W. Chatfield Ave. one block to the park.
Located on the north side of W. Chatfield Ave. at Iris Way. There is no parking lot and we suggest parking on Iris Way
or in the Mortenson Elementary School parking lot when school is not in session.

Park Description
This is a bluegrass irrigated park. The North Tributary of Massey Draw drainage runs through the park.

Park History
This park was acquired in 1979. The parcel of land west of Iris St. was acquired in 1985. The original name of this park
was The Chatfield, named after the original plat name of the subdivision.

Information:
A new resident moved into Dakota Station Park in late January and we think it needs a name! The Tyrannosaurus rex head, rib cage and egg are modeled after dinosaur fossils and have been incorporated into the playground design.
How to enter the contest:
1. Take your picture with the Dino in Dakota Station Park
2. Post your photo to our Facebook page
3. In the photo description, provide the proposed Dino name
4. Tag us in your photo
5. We will "like" your photo, this will indicate you have been
successfully entered into the contest
Rules and Details:
Contest will run from January 30 - February 29, 2012.
Name will be selected by the parks staff that installed the Dino.
No Colorado mascot names will be considered (i.e. Rocky, Miles,
Dinger, Ralphie, Cam, etc.)
The selected winning name will be featured on an interpretive park
sign with the winning person’s name and age (if they so choose).
The selected winning name for the Dino and person will be
announced on Friday, March 2.
