Directions To Park
From the intersection of W. Chatfield Ave. and S. Kipling Pkwy, head east on W.
Chatfield Ave. to S. Garrison St., turn right on Garrison St. 1/3 mile to the
park on the west side of S. Garrison St. Parking lot will be available seasonally.

Park Description
This park has two distinct features.
Deer Creek Pool and the 13-acre prairie/wetlands habitat located north of the pool.
The Massey Draw drainage runs though the 13 acres and downstream through Wingate South
Park before it outlets into Chatfield Reservoir. The prairie/wetlands habitat is a
great place to watch nesting songbirds in the spring.

Park History
Funding for the pool was approved by District residents as part of the November 2000
Bond Election. The 7.75 acre parcel the pool sits on is leased from Jefferson
County Open Space.
