Park Description
The main feature of this park is
Lilley Gulch Recreation Center. The
facility includes an indoor pool, gymnasium, racquetball
courts, and programming space. The Lilley
Gulch Regional Trail runs through the park. Athletic fields,
including the Dante Bichette Memorial
Baseball Field are located at the north west corner of the
park. Dante Bichette is a former Colorado
Rockies outfielder. The field was built in 2000 as part
of the Rockies "Field of Dreams" program.

2 baseball fields, 2 multi-use fields, 4 unlighted tennis courts, 1 half court basketball
court, volleyball court, playground, horseshoe pits and one picnic shelter

The Lilley Gulch Regional Trail runs through the park.

Comments: The trail begins at S. Pierce St. and heads west
through Woodmar Square Park, Lilley Pad Park, Chief Colorow
Park, and the Lilley Gulch Recreation Center and ends at S.
Kipling Pkwy. No dedicated trailheads, but the Lilley Gulch
Recreation Center is an ideal starting point.
Park History
Twenty acres of the park were donated to the Foothills by
Melody Homes when the Kipling Villas Subdivision was platted
in 1973. The reaming 10 acres were acquired from R-1 schools
in 1979 in exchange for the land Foothills owned at Chief
Colorow Park. The recreation center was built in 1981. The park
was originally called Kipling Villas Park.
