Camp Programs
Foothills Park & Recreation District's Children's Programs is ready to provide your child with a diverse and enriching camp experience. Our camp programs are ideal for busy parents wanting a positive experience for their children.

We offer a variety of safe, fun and exciting camp experiences for children ages 5-15.

This program is not available for online registration. To register for this program, it is REQUIRED that a complete enrollment packet be filled out on each child and submitted in person. For complete instructions, view our Program Enrollment page.
Spring Break Camp • March 26 - April 2, 2012
Registration begins February 13, deadline to register March 14.

Winter Break Camp information will be available in October 2012
Kids on the Move Camp
Offers children ages 5-12 numerous choices of activities throughout each day. The program runs from 6:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., each week day. Recreational opportunities include: sports, group games, arts, crafts, cooking and dramatic play. Swimming, field trips, and other enrichment activities will round out your child's camp fun. We offer care at the Ridge and Lilley Gulch Recreation Centers and offer transportation from the south Lakewood area.

Teen Camp
We challenge, engage and inspire our participants to achieve success. Come for one day or come for them all. We challenge participants through outdoor adventures, field trips and mind boggling fun! Camp is offered for youth entering 6th-9th grades.

Camp Hoppers
Offered at Lilley Gulch Recreation Center for ages 5-6, camp is designed to give younger children the chance to feel like a big kid during the break. Participants enjoy daily activities including many choices in sports, cooking, games, arts, crafts, science, drama, and more! Participants also enjoy open swimming and gymnastics at Lilley Gulch Recreation Center.

Kids on the Move Camp - For ages 5 - entering 6th grade with daily activities including many choices and opportunities in sports, cooking, games, arts, crafts, science, drama and more. Participants swim weekly. Also included are special events, guest speakers and field trips. Specialty classes and lessons offered at an additional cost. Camps available at various sites throughout the District.
Camp Hoppers - This camp is specifically designed for children ages 5-6 to help them with this transitional part of their life. Children will enjoy all the benefits of the Kids on the Move Camp, such as swimming weekly and field trips, while staying with children their own age. Camp Hoppers is offered at the Ridge and Lilley Gulch Recreation Centers.
Arts in Action - Come explore your artistic side! Youth entering 2nd-5th grades can creatively express themselves through Art, Theater, Science, and Music/Dance. As a group or individually, campers will select a project to accomplish during the week. Expert guest speakers begin each week with direction in the project. Campers will work on their projects in addition to swimming, games, a field trip and outdoor play. At the end of the week, projects will be displayed during an Open House for parents, family and friends. DAILY DROP-IN NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS CAMP.
Outdoor Adventures - Discover wilderness, wildlife, and the beauty Colorado offers! Each week, educational and recreational activities focus on a specific outdoor theme. Field trips include camping, rafting, horseback riding, and exploring mines and caves! Camp is subject to minimum enrollment. DAILY DROP-IN NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS CAMP. This camp fills quickly and is for youth entering 3rd-8th grades.
All Star Sports Camp - Offers boys and girls of all levels the chance to develop skills, overcome challenges, and experience the joy of personal achievement while participating in a wide variety of sports and games. The daily schedule is structured to help children prepare for team participation. Sports activities and skill builders offered throughout the day will culminate in a team game each afternoon. Swimming and field trips are also included. Camp is based at the Foothills Sports Arena for youth entering 3rd-8th grades. DAILY DROP-IN NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS CAMP.
Teen Camp - We challenge, engage and inspire our participants to achieve success. Each week highlights a different theme allowing participants to soar to new heights through outdoor challenges, field trips and mind boggling adventures! Camp is offered in four day sessions for youth entering 6th-9th grades.
L.I.T. Camp (Leaders In Training) - For young adults entering 9th-10th grades interested in becoming camp counselors or volunteering. We provide unique opportunities to strengthen leadership skills and experience real on-the-job training. In the 11 week camp, participants meet weekly on Mondays to choose their volunteer schedule for Tuesdays-Thursdays at sites within the District. Volunteer sites include Children’s Programs, Aquatics and Sports. L.I.T. will receive CPR and First Aid Certifications, and will participate in different team building activities throughout the program. For additional teen offerings, Click Here
