Learn to Skate, Learn to Play Hockey Classes

At Foothills' Edge Ice Arena we are proud to offer safe, enjoyable and comprehensive classes all ages!
Our classes follow curriculum developed by the skating industry.

| Learn To Skate Classes
Our beginner skate classes will teach the fundamentals and foundation of ice skating. Each successive level will continue to
build on the skater's ability and technique. Classes will be separated by age and skill level with testing at the end of each
session to determine advancement to next level.

Learn To Play Hockey Classes
All participants must be able to skate before registering in the Learn To Play Hockey classes. Classes are
separated out by age and are designed to develop basic hockey skills. Each successive level will build on
these skills. The class structure will be combine drills and scrimmage times. Participants must wear full hockey equipment.

Adult Skills and Scrimmage
This class is for the beginner/intermediate hockey player wanting to continue to improve their game. Instruction
will cover power skating, puck handling, and team tactics. Group drills will begin each session followed by
scrimmage time. Participants must wear full hockey equipment.

Private Lesson Instruction
Private instruction is available from the arena's highly skilled professional staff. Private lessons are usually
conducted during ice times that are specifically designated for individual figure skating practice or instruction.
Most skating sessions are 45 minutes in length. The exact schedule is worked out between the student, parent and
coach. The skater must pay for both the ice time and the instruction time when they receive their lessons.
