  • District residents with valid Foothills I.D. card may reserve a court by calling 3 days in advance. Non-residents may call 2 days in advance.
  • Reservations not claimed within 10 minutes of reserved court time may be cancelled and you may be charged the daily admission fee.
  • Racquetball reservations are per court, per person, per hour and multiple admission fees apply for reservations. If courts have not been reserved or are not needed for walk-in players, you may continue to play at no additional charge.
  • Wallyball court reservations are available for two-hour blocks.
  • Walk-ins accepted as courts are available.
  • Polycarbonate eye guards meeting the standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials are highly recommended and available at no charge from the front desk. For more information, call 303.409.2613.

Tennis Program - program information

JUNIOR CLASSES:
Beginners (ages 5-6) learn how to hold tennis racquet/grip, terminology, forehands and backhands. Play entertaining games to improve skills.

Beginners (ages 7-9) learn grips and rules, how to hit forehand, backhands, volleys and serve. Beginners will play fun games to improve strokes.

Advanced Beginners (ages 7-9) will develop on-court playing abilities. Classes will have fun drills to raise ability levels.

Beginners (ages 10-15) learn proper grips and rules of play. Practice drills to develop forehands, backhands, volleys, serves and on-court playing abilities.

Advanced Beginners (ages 10-15) learn to keep score and understand proper court positions and drills to improve game.

Tennis High School Club (Ages 14-18) meet new people while playing matches and getting hands on instruction and guidance. Joining the High School Tennis Club will enhance and elevate tennis skills.

ADULT CLASSES: (ages 16 & up) challenge drills will be introduced to the adult class to make tennis fun and exciting while providing a good workout!

Private Tennis Lessons: improve your game as a whole, or finesse specific techniques and strokes. Our private tennis lessons will accommodate you, working one-on-one to improve your skills and game. Available for ages 5+.
Fee: $39 (1 lesson), $105 (three 1 hour lessons), $175 (five 1 hour lessons)

Columbine Knolls Tennis Programs

Foothills Park & Recreation District and Columbine Knolls Recreation District share in the running of an excellent tennis program that includes youth and adult instruction as well as league and tournament play.
