We are so excited to announce the last section of the Dutch Creek Trail connecting to the C-470 Trail has officially opened to the public! The extension of the Dutch Creek Trail represents a major step forward in providing trail connectivity throughout the Denver Metro area by creating an east-west link through the entirety of our District to the rest of the Metro area. Get out and enjoy the new connection! Please follow all park and trail rules, and make sure the gate leading to the C-470 Trail is closed after use to protect wildlife. We’d like to give a big thank you to Jefferson County Open Space and The Foothills Foundation whose financial contributions helped make this project possible!
As a reminder to all trail and park users, all dogs must be on leash and pick up after your pets. Unauthorized motor vehicles, including dirt bikes, motorcycles and ATVs (all-terrain vehicles) are NOT allowed on trails or in parks.
We’d like to thank all of the community members who came together to make this project happen; our current and past board members, our staff and the public at large. A project like this cannot come together without support from throughout the Foothills Park & Recreation District community.
