Privacy Statement

Foothills Park & Recreation District (FHPRD) has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate FHPRD’s firm commitment to privacy. The information below explains the District’s policy regarding any personal information supplied to us while visiting the ifoothills.org and foothillsgolf.org domain.

Personal Information: When and how it is collected, and how it is used
FHPRD does not and cannot collect personal information from visitors to the website who are simply looking at the site. Visitors to the site may choose whether or not to provide personal information to FHPRD online. “Personal information” is information about a natural person that is readily identifiable to that specific individual. Personal information includes such things as an individual’s name, address, and phone number. A domain name or Internet Protocol address is not considered personal information (please see “Log Files”). FHPRD will collect no personal information unless it is voluntarily provided through e-mail, participating in a survey, completing an online form, or engaging in an online transaction; the choice may be made not to do any of those things. If personal information is not provided, the information collected online is treated in the same manner as information collected by other means. Any personal information collected by FHPRD is strictly for use by FHPRD and not for sale or disclosure to any other organization or advertising agency. The goal of collecting information is to provide customers with more personalized and effective service. FHPRD will not share personal information or e-mail addresses with any organization outside FHPRD or any third party unless under a court order. The District’s goal is to protect online customer information, and information provided by any other means, in the same manner.

Security
This site has measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under the District’s control. This information should not be construed in any way as giving business, legal, or other advice, or warranting as fail proof, the security of information provided via FHPRD’s website.

Credit Card Information
FHPRD utilizes third-party vendors who collect payment for certain transactions requiring pre-payment; FHPRD does not collect credit card numbers. Transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can not be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Log Files
Every computer connected to the Internet is given a domain name and a set of numbers. This domain name and set of numbers serves as the computers’ “Internet Protocol” or “IP” address. When a visitor requests a page from any website within the FHPRD domain, our third party vendor’s web servers automatically recognize the visitor’s domain name and IP address. This does NOT include personal information such as names or e-mail addresses of visitors. The domain name and IP address reveal nothing personal about the visitor, other than the IP address from which the visitor has accessed the site. These domain names and IP addresses are recorded in our servers’ log files. Log files can be used for the following purposes: to monitor which pages are visited the most and least often, for purposes of improving the site; to detect server errors for purposes of troubleshooting; to generate aggregate reports of website traffic; and to monitor files for site security. Log files are not kept on file permanently and will eventually be deleted. FHPRD will not release any information regarding the collection of IP addresses to any third party except under court order.

Direct Mail
FHPRD may use your personal data to send you information regarding our services and activities. We will not sell this information to a third party, and it will not be disclosed unless under court order.
