Hot water has been restored to showers and sinks! A temporary on-demand hot water delivery system is on site and running at the Ridge. We appreciate your patience during this outage.
Foothills Park & Recreation District planned to replace the domestic hot water heaters at the Ridge Recreation Center as part of the 2025 capital improvements plan. Unfortunately, the heaters beat us to the punch and experienced a catastrophic failure.
We worked with an engineering firm to engineer and source the temporary system currently in use. An engineered, custom-ordered and manufactured replacement system is required in order to meet the unique needs of the facility in the long term. That work is concurrently underway. In the meantime, we will continue to provide hot water through the temporary system.
Thank you for your patience with this process. Look for updates when the new permanent system is installed.
As a reminder, this issue does not affect the water temperature of any of the three indoor swimming pools at Ridge Recreation Center.

25 meters x 25 yards, featuring lap swimming.

Ridge – Activity Pool
Leisure and activity pool with play features – fun for all ages! The current channel is a feature used for both play and exercise.

Ridge – Warm Therapy Pool
Designed for patrons needing warmer temperature for therapeutic necessity. Children are NOT permitted in this pool unless accompanied by a therapist or parent AND are using the pool for therapeutic needs. Please be considerate of our patrons with therapeutic needs and enjoy your leisure activities in our activity and lap pools.

Outdoor Pools - Hours, Prices and Rentals
Drop-in Hours
Open daily, May 24 – August 17, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. at all four outdoor pool locations.
- Lap Swim: 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
- Open Swim / Play: 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. (lap lanes are restricted use until 12 p.m.)
- Extended Family Nights: 5-7 p.m. on the designated days and locations:
- Mondays at Weaver Hollow Pool (not offered May 26)
- Tuesdays at Deer Creek Pool
- Wednesdays at Columbine West Pool
- Thursdays at 6th Avenue West Pool (not offered July 3)
Delayed opening times for 6th Avenue West Pool for swim meets:
- Saturday, June 7 – facility opens at 11 a.m.
- Saturday, June 21 – facility opens at 12:30 p.m.
- Saturday, July 12 – facility opens at 12:30 p.m.

Outdoor Pools Weather Policy:
- Pools will close for 30 minute periods from last thunder or lightning.
- Open swim will be cancelled on days where the expected high temperature is 65° or less for the day.
- Classes take exception to the 65 degree weather rule, and you will be contacted if your Foothills swim class will be cancelled due to weather or other conditions.

Pools – What you need to know BEFORE arriving
PLEASE READ AND PREPARE FOR YOUR VISIT.
Each pool location differs, additional SPECIFIC RESTRICTIONS ARE POSTED ON SITE for pool amenities/attractions.
General Pool Rules, apply at all pool locations
Lifeguards are ON DUTY to enforce rules and regulations and to respond to emergencies. You are ultimately responsible for your safety and your child’s safety.
- We ask all patrons to refrain from using a facility if exhibiting any signs of sickness and to self-monitor before arriving to a facility.
- Youth ages 5 & under must be accompanied INTO THE WATER by a paying adult (18 or older).
- Youth ages 6-8 must be accompanied by a paying attendee, ages 12 or older.
- Mermaid tails and mermaid fins are not allowed.
- Dive only in designated areas. NO diving is allowed in water less than 5 feet deep.
- No one, regardless of age or ability, may “catch” another swimmer who is going off the diving board or big slide.
- No rough-housing or horseplay.
- Flotation devices, goggles and masks are NOT ALLOWED on diving boards or slides.
- 48″ minimum height requirement to ride any flume slide.
- Single riders only on all flume slides, expect Weaver Hollow Pool.
- Swim diapers or plastic pants required if not toilet trained.
- No smoking inside fenced areas.
- ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL allowed.
- Food and gum are NOT ALLOWED in the water.
The above rules are not inclusive. Manager on Duty may enforce further rules for the safety of the patrons. Signs will be posted at each pool for specific rules pertaining to that facility.
Aquatics Exclusive Use Parties and Rentals
Rent our Pools – consider this after hours option if you are planning a party or special event!
Reservations must be made at least 10 days in advance. Children ages 5 & under, MUST be accompanied into the water by an adult (age 18 & up) and be within arms’ reach. Rental fee includes lifeguard(s) and exclusive use of the entire pool.

Cabanas
Each 10×10 cabana has 3 sides, 2 lounge chairs, 2 chairs and a small table. Sides slide open to rent an additional cabana for larger groups. Multiple cabana rentals can be made based on availability.
Cabanas not available if not reserved.
Serves a maximum of 8 people with admissions included (per cabana rental), valid day of rental only.
Prices per Cabana:
- Half day: $60 (non-District: $75)
- 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. or 2-5 p.m.
- All day: $90 (non-District: $120)
- 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Shelters
Each shelter is open on all sides, picnic table(s) included.
Serves approximately 15 people with admissions included (per shelter rental), valid day of rental only.
Prices per Shelter:
- Two (2) hours: $85 (non-District: $95)
- 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. or 12:45-2:45 p.m. or 3-5 p.m.
- Four (4) hours: $115 (non-District: $135)
- 10:30 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. or 12:45-5 p.m.
- All day: $145 (non-District: $175)
- 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
