Foothills Park & Recreation District offers a wide variety of fitness and wellness opportunities. Our goal is to fulfill the physical needs of our patrons by providing classes that are geared for all fitness levels and abilities. Connect, Breathe, Move!  Designed to bring your entire being into balance with a variety of  mind-body centered and focused  classes.  Offered in formats that are easy to follow and encourage participation for all levels.

Mind Body Drop-in Classes are offered on an ongoing basis and do not require advance registration. Classes include: Pilates Mat, Tai Chi, willPower & grace®, and Yoga formats: Weekend Zen, Restorative Flow Yoga, Gentle Yoga, and Yoga for All Levels.

Mind-Body Drop-in Prices

  • Single Visit Price: $8, Non-District: $12
  • 10-visit Mind-Body Multi-visit Card:
    • Price: $60, Non-District: $75
    • 10% discount for: Premier Annual Pass, 3-Month Pass, Active Options Annual Pass. Also valid for SilverSneakers and Silver&Fit members.

Mind Body Registration Classes are progressive in nature and/or occur outdoors. Classes include:

  • Outdoor seasonal offering at Clement Park
    • Yoga
    • Tai Chi
  • Pilates Reformer: performed on specialized equipment, these classes use mindful movement sequences and controlled breathing techniques to elicit new patterns of movement in the body. (NOTE: 1st time participants must attend a Pilates Fundamentals Orientation)

Requires advance registration

  • Prices vary by length and type of class
  • Multi-Visit Cards and Passes are not applicable

Group Training Classes

Looking to find an economical way to work with a trainer for your individual needs and goals? These small group classes offer:

  • Guidance of a Certified Personal Trainer in a group setting
  • Individual attention and coaching in a comfortable team environment.

Strength, Conditioning and Performance Training

From improving speed to scoring the winning goal — you need a solid strength and conditioning program in order to take your skills to the next level!  Let our certified performance specialist create a personally tailored training regimen that will allow you to: Exceed your fitness goals • Improve your training knowledge and abilities • Ensure your execution of movement is fundamentally sound.

Strength & Conditioning Training (all ages)
From basic form and fundamentals coaching to advanced skill development and sport specific training, participants can gain a competitive edge, work on sport specific conditioning and skills acquisition, develop teamwork, or troubleshoot performance issues.

If so, this evidence-based exercise program might be the perfect prescription for improved health!

Defer the Disease Chronic Conditions Programs
We offer evidence-based exercise programs led by skilled instructors to improve quality of life and functional abilities for a variety of chronic conditions including: We provide defined classes and training options led by skilled instructors to improve health, regain stamina, and delay and/or diminish signs and symptoms at any stage of dysfunction.  This total health program includes:

  • Pre & Post Assessments
  • Introductory Individual Personal Training Session
  • Full 3-month facility membership
  • Admission to all Drop-in Fitness classes
  • Specialized training services designed to meet specific individual needs and conditions. Dates, times, and exercise formats vary depending on the participants level of skill and function.

To get started, please complete the Defer the Disease Paperwork Packet and contact our fitness staff at 303-409-2114 to schedule an assessment time.

Class options may include the following components:

  • CancerFit®: appropriate for adult cancer survivors at any stage, focus on getting back to being you in a healthy, positive, non-intimidating environment. (offered twice/week)
  • NeuroFit®: appropriate for individuals with Parkinson Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Dementia and/or other neurological challenges. Targets improvements in physical, attentional, cognitive, and emotional realms. (offered twice/week)
  • NeuroFit® Pilates**: designed to target Neurological conditions listed above, this class is conducted on Pilates reformers.  Focus is on exercises to improve mobility, core strength, and stability by changing the neuromuscular pathways used in movement. (offered three times/week)
  • Vitally Fit®: designed for individuals with any chronic disease or condition that affects the body’s ability to maintain cardiovascular health, muscular strength, joint range of motion, and mobility/balance. (offered twice/week)

Additional Fitness Classes and offerings may also be appropriate for individuals with Arthritis, Osteoporosis, Multiple Sclerosis, and other joint/musculoskeletal issues.  Please contact our fitness staff at 303-409-2114 to discover options that best suit your needs.

Hike offerings**: enjoy the beautiful outdoors of Colorado with others in a variety of scenic Jefferson County parks and trails, or adventure to other locations throughout  state.  Offered seasonally MAR-OCT, these programs are designed for multiple levels and include:

  • Take a Hike Club – good for all levels, meet at trailheads
