Participant Requirements
Verify that you meet all the requirements prior to classes.
- New participants must attend a Pilates Orientation.
- If you are registered for Pilates Reformer classes but have not taken the orientation prior to the start of class, you will not be able to participate.
- Refunds/credits will not be given for classes or sessions missed due to failure to meet requirements.
- Sign up only for the appropriate class level. Staff will indicate the best fit for you at orientation.
- Participants must be able to get on and off of the reformer without assistance, even for private training.
- Participants must be able to manage equipment and props, change springs, and handle a variety of positions safely.
Email [email protected] if you need to schedule a private orientation or prefer to start with private training to ensure you can safely participate in classes.
Safety
It is recommended that you consult your healthcare provider prior to beginning any exercise program or if your health status changes.
- Know your limitations and any restrictions based on medical conditions and injuries.
- Listen to your body.
- Stop if you experience sharp, sudden or shooting joint pain, feel ill or the movement doesn’t feel right or safe.
- Alert staff if you feel unwell (i.e. dizzy, nauseated, etc.) or unsafe.
Your safety as well as the safety of all participants and staff is the number one priority of Foothills Park & Recreation District. While this rarely occurs, we reserve the right to withdraw your registration if fitness professionals have concerns regarding your safety, appropriateness of the class level or overall class needs. If that were to occur, we would discuss this with you and make recommendations
