Our Active Adult Programs offer a variety of opportunities for everyone! Join us and experience what a balanced blend of mental, social and physical wellness is all about!

Excursions

Experience interesting locations in Colorado without having to drive! Registration price always includes transportation. Prices vary based on activity.

Extended Travel

Travel with a group of 55+ year old travelers from Foothills Active Adults Program to various destinations in 2025. Whether you’re a party of one or many, these trips are tailored for group travel geared specifically for older adults (55+).

Registration is required for all events and activities, even if it promoted as being free. Prices vary based on activity.

Lunch & Learn Presentations

  • Monday, July 28: “Hidden Treasures of Denver” presented by Michael with Treasure Box Tours.
  • Monday, August 25: “Healthy Brain, Alzheimer’s & Dementia, Research” presented by Bobbie D’Addario from the Alzheimer’s Association.
  • Monday, September 29:  “What Happens in the Coroner’s Office?” presented by Dr. Annette Cannon, Jefferson County Coroner.
  • Monday, October 27: Local Book Author and former National Park Ranger, J.M. Mitchell, discusses his fourth novel, Migrations of Butterflies and Lies, and tells old National Park Ranger stories.
  • Monday, November 17: “What Are Semiglutides?”  Presented by Joshua Solot, D.O., Archwell Health.

Events & Activities

  • Tuesday, September 9: Women & Financial Planning Seminar: Dessert and Discussion with Judy Viccellio. Free but must register.
  • Friday, October 3: Active Adult Open House. Free, but must register.
  • Monday, November 3: Medicare Monday, presented by the Colorado Gerontological Society. Free but must register.
  • Friday, November 7: A Pirate Murder Mystery: Curse of the Parrot Island Treasure. Everyone plays a part in this mystery!
  • Tuesday, November 11: Veterans Day Celebration, “Patriots and Pastries.” Free but must register. Veterans and their families are welcome!

Classes

Learn to Play Mahjongg, two-day classes:

  • Tuesday, July 22 and Friday, July 25
  • Tuesday, September 16 and Friday, September 19
  • Tuesday, October 7 and Friday, October 10

Visiting Nurses Association’s Foot Clinic

  • There is no registration for this clinic. You MUST call 303-698-6496 to sign up.
  • Price is $55 or insurance.
  • Held the first Tuesday of each month from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Peak Community & Wellness Center.

Clubs

Monthly participation price, per club of $5 (non-district $7), to view the seasonal date span for each club and to register online, use the button below.

  • Book Club, meets once monthly: third Thursday of each month, 1-3 p.m.
  • Bridge, Party Bridge played: Tuesdays, 12-3 p.m.
  • Hand, Knee & Foot Card Game: Tuesdays, 1-4 p.m.
  • Helpful Hands Knitting & Crochet: Fridays, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Mahjongg: Wednesdays 1-4 p.m.
