Executive Director’s Report
Highlighting the report provided, Mr. Hopp discussed the following:
- Water levels at several District reservoirs continue to be impacted by ongoing drought conditions. Clement Park is no longer able to utilize reservoir water for irrigation purposes because water levels have fallen below the intake level for the pump system.
- The District continues to manage water conservation efforts across parks and facilities, including compliance with water-use restrictions and prioritization of active-use areas.
- Randy Meyers was recognized as a finalist for the Wilson Advisory Staff Member of the Year Award.
- Staff continue to work with the District’s irrigation consultants regarding pump station improvements and irrigation control upgrades at Foothills Golf Course. These improvements are expected to improve irrigation efficiency and extend the life of the existing system.
- Additional public outreach opportunities are underway as part of the District’s Master Plan process, including open houses and community events. Strong participation in both public engagement activities and the statistically valid survey has been reported.
