Volunteer Coaches – Required Trainings

Thank you for your interest in volunteering or interning at Foothills Park & Recreation District! As part of the process, it is required to complete the following online coach trainings.

Concussion Certificate Completion

As a youth sports coach, you must complete an annual concussion recognition education course and provide your certificate the youth sports department prior to prior to volunteering.

Mental Wellness Training

Colorado State Law SB26-060, effective August 12, 2026, requires coaches of youth athletic activities to complete a biennial mental health education course.

Additionally, you must successfully complete a criminal history check.  If you have reached this point without filling out a background check, please contact the Youth Sports Department.
